National staffing firm Robert Half deployed its employees to local nonprofits for the holiday season. The Denver office decided on the Denver Rescue Mission where they took over the kitchen and prepared meals for the Mission’s underserved clients.
$250K raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters
The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado Associate Board raised a quarter million dollars for the charity, and recently launched a Topgolf for Kids’ Sake event. The charity serves nearly 2,000 youth every year.
Four Denver firms raise cash for Denver mountain parks
Whiting Petroleum Corporation, Denver Beer Company, KOTA Longboards and Tryba Architects raised $96,473 for the Denver Mountain Parks Foundation through its Corporate Affiliates Program. The money will be used to support the Denver Department of Parks and Recreation in revitalizing the Mountain Parks system.
CAN’d Aid Foundation announces 2017 impact
Longmont’s CAN’d Aid Foundation, famous for its “do-goodery” ethos, announced the results of its 2017 efforts. Among other things, it distributed more than 1 million cans of clean drinking water to post-disaster communities — including Puerto Rico, donated $950,000 in cash to help communities rebuild after natural disasters, donated 352 musical instruments to public schools across the nation and recycled nearly 600,000 pounds of waste through its Crush It Crusade.
